blog post 2000/2010
computers from the year 2000 are very slow when compared with computers today. the specs from around 2000 look like this: 400Mhz P2, 64mb sdram and i think we all know the specs from today (they’re way faster).
Now to cell phones. cell phones in the year 2000 were very simple as all they were used for was to phone people unlike today when phones are turning into mini computers that run faster than a lot of older computers.
i remember growing up playing super nintendo and N64 and i thought they were pretty good when i was growing up. i recently played them and found that my new phone could now play better games than those old systems. today you can play games with people across the world in the comfort of your own home. thats pretty awsome.
Touch screen computers
I have heard about this new touch screen computers and i do think they are a magnificently sweet new product but i have to wonder, are we throwing down laziness as a past time one activity at a time? before we would sit down after a long day of schooling or work to watch some good ol’ quality T.V. Then for some reason we decided to put in a little wriste action by sitting down at the computer. Now it seams people everywher have started to throw down their opressive and restricting computer mice to use both their hands in a liberating experience of touch screen Euphoria.
But is this a good thing? What happened to the days of expending as little energy as possible? If we continue on this path of Wii fit and touch screen computers will we eventually have a mucle bound and energetic America? What about the people who just like to eat a whole hell of a lot of food? Will they be left the few fat ones to remind us of our past? So we come to the real question, a choice; our traditional flubbery ways or a new future with touch screen this and jog around the corner that with scinny people walking the street? Its your decision people!

MPEG-2 video supports a wide range of applications from mobile to high quality HD editing. For many applications, it’s unrealistic and too expensive to support the entire standard. To allow such applications to support only subsets of it, the standard defines profile and level.
The profile defines the subset of features such as compression algorithm, chroma format, etc. The level defines the subset of quantitative capabilities such as maximum bit rate, maximum frame size, etc.

Google states that Chrome is being designed in a minimalist way, much like its Chrome web browser. In this way, the company hopes to move much of the user interface from the desktop environment to the web. Cloud computing will be a large part of its design. It has stated that, for developers, “the web is the platform”. The Chrome OS is being targeted at users who spend most of their computer time on the internet, and is designed to run on computers ranging from netbooks to desktop computers. Google has stated that the Chrome OS is separate from its Andriod operating system, which was designed primarily for use on smarphones.
Also, Google announced that the Chrome OS will feature a novel security architecture. According to Google’s official announcement, they will be “going back to the basics and completely redesigning the underlying security architecture of the OS so that users don’t have to deal with viruses, malware and security updates”
